Not what he looked like, not the full extent of his power--though from what little they did know, he was by far the most powerful telepath in existence--and not what his intentions were.

The man was a recluse. As far as Magneto knew, Xavier had never once stepped foot outside his impenetrable Westchester manor. And now he was scheduled as the keynote speaker for the largest pro-mutant conference in the world.

Notes: (dr_fumbles_mcstupid  did our posting...except for here...so she wrote these notes.  But I agree with what she said, so I just left them from her POV.)  So here is part one of tessellation. It contains Chapter's 1-6 in it.  We are not sure how many parts there are going to be in the whole right now, but we plan to split them up in about 2 hour increments.  So this was super fun to record. When I say k_town and I recorded together, I mean in the same room. We live less than 10 minutes from each other. This makes things awesome for a couple of reasons. First of all it makes the editing for two people way easier.  Second you have a built in beta, someone to catch mispronounced word, when you go to fast, etc. Third it is just more fun (although sometimes we make each other laugh and ramble so there is more to edit out at the end) and I feel like I don't need to take a s many breaks while recording.

Notes: I recorded this for the podfic bingo squares: Read Drunkenly and Slur/Mumble. So...I sort did the Read Drunkenly thing on two levels. I picked a story with a drunk character so that if it turned out I was incapable of reading while drunk I would still be covered. But then I also got drunk and recorded the story. That had mixed results. :) So the final version is a mix of two recordings. All of Charles' lines are from the recording I did while drunk, and they were kindly edited (by my good friend dr_fumbles_mcstupid) into a second recording I did while sober.
